Mitra was born in Tehran, Iran. At the age of 17, right after Mitra graduated high school she started working as a secretary in the main office of Sadarat, one of the largest banks in Iran.
At the age of 23, she moved to Los Angeles to join her family who was already here for a few years.
Today, she is the mother of two wonderful boys, Daniel and Arya, both well-educated with great jobs as an HR at VCA and a Lawyer, and above all, they are good human beings. She is very proud of them.
Mitra graduated from FIDM as a fashion designer and worked for a company called Made in America, where she designed children’s clothing for a couple of years. She loves collecting antique furniture so naturally, she used to own an antique shop in West LA named Funatic for many years.
Her true passion was always going to open houses, at first she was interested in the investment side. Buying properties fixing them up and selling them or renting them out. In 2006 Mitra decided to get her Real Estate license and she started working right away with the same agency she was using to purchase her properties. Mitra sold her first house a month after getting her license.
She has been with that same agency for the past 16 years. But she had felt a calling to be with a larger agency, to handle today's diverse and growing market. After interviewing with a few different agencies she realized Harcourts was where she wanted to be. This is a great company to work for, and their philosophy of providing amazing service to clients is aligned with the way Matria likes to treat her clients.
Harcourts is an incredibly friendly group of associates and she looks forward to coming into work with a smile. Mitra likes to get up early in the morning to care for her rescue animals, then work out for an hour and get ready to start the day. Her hobbies include running biking and painting. Mitra has lots of energy, she loves to work. If you need a full-service agent who will respond to you right away and someone available 24/7, she is the agent for you. She is bilingual in English and Farshi.
